CS START HART

Registered Product Information

Manufacturer: Softing AG
Product Name: CS START HART
Product Description: Demo Device
Profile: FOUNDATION Field Device
Date: 5/4/2021
More Information: The Softing commModule-MBP Evaluation Kit with START-HART functionality (CS-START-HART) demonstrates the capabilities of the commModule-MBP as FOUNDATION fieldbus interface module and the commKit integration framework for existing HART devices. With its demo mapping it allows fieldbus access to process values delivered by a connected HART device, but it serves also as test device for FF-H1 development and test environments. With only small adaptions (bypassing the HART modem and the 4-20mA current loop control) any HART device can be connected. Up to 2 process values are simultaneously provided to the FF-H1 system through the 2 AI function blocks of the CS-START-HART demo device. If supported by the HART device, beside the standard HART communication speed of 1200bit/sec transfer rates of up to 57600 are possible. Additionally, synthetic process values are provided or consumed for test purposes within the DEMO transducer block and can be linked to by DI, DO, AI and AO function blocks. Thus, CS-START-HART is able to run as full featured test device even in stand-alone mode without any connected HART device.

Device Support File Usage

FieldComm Group (FCG) makes available to its members and to the public certain device driver (DD) files, in various forms, that have passed certain tests conducted by or through FCG. The DD files are, or are created from, submissions to FCG by FCG members and are provided by FCG AS IS. FCG disclaims all liability for the accuracy, suitability or use of the DD files. Each member creating DD files has its own policies regarding supporting use of those files, and may, for instance support use of DD object code files, but not DeviceInfo or other files. While FCG is under no obligation to provide support for use of any DD files, FCG welcomes all inquiries on the subject and will often be able to assist.
