BEKA BA488CF series Fieldbus Displays
Four Fieldbus Displays are available in the Series:
BA484DF Intrinsically safe, field mounting
BA488CF Intrinsically safe, panel mounting
BA684DF General purpose, field mounting
BA688CF General purpose, panel mounting
Each of these bus-powered instruments can display up to eight fieldbus process variables together with their units of measurement and tag information on a 86 x 45mm (3.4 x 1.8inch) illuminated LCD screen. One, two, three or four variables may be displayed together on one screen; the next variable or set of variables is shown by pressing one of the front panel push-buttons.
The BA484DF and BA488CF have FM, ATEX and IECEx intrinsic safety certification allowing installation in flammable gases. The field mounting BA484DF is also available with certification for installation in combustible dust atmospheres. Both models are FISCO compliant and also have FM nonincendive approval.
Industrial push-buttons or switches may be wired to the Fieldbus Display. Internal, external or both sets of push-buttons in parallel can be selected via the internal menus.
The field mounting models are housed in a robust IP66 glass reinforced polyester (GRP) enclosure with a toughened glass window that may be surface or pipe mounted. The panel mounting models have an IP66 front panel with a gasket to seal the joint between the instrument and the panel.
Fieldbus Displays can be supplied with six isolated alarm outputs, each of which may be linked to any of the displayed fieldbus variables. Alarm setpoints can be entered via the front panel push-buttons. Unauthorised adjustment of alarms and other settings may be prevented by a security code.

Device Support File Usage
FieldComm Group (FCG) makes available to its members and to the public certain device driver (DD) files, in various forms, that have passed certain tests conducted by or through FCG. The DD files are, or are created from, submissions to FCG by FCG members and are provided by FCG AS IS. FCG disclaims all liability for the accuracy, suitability or use of the DD files. Each member creating DD files has its own policies regarding supporting use of those files, and may, for instance support use of DD object code files, but not DeviceInfo or other files. While FCG is under no obligation to provide support for use of any DD files, FCG welcomes all inquiries on the subject and will often be able to assist.
