Multivariable Field Indicator
Profile:
FOUNDATION Field Device
More Information:
The Multivariable Field Indicator 264IB is an accessory device of the
2600T Series covered by multiple agency approvals (including ATEX-FISCO
and FM) for intrinsically safe and explosion proof applications with full
compliance to hazardous area requirements
The 264IB implements different functions to fulfil specific purposes:
1-Field Indicator acting as display for up to 8 H1 variables
(publisher/subscriber) and 1 variable written by the Host
(client/server). The 8 H1 variables ready to be displayed must be linked
in input to the dedicated Display Block during the Function Block
Application design. Then each variable to be displayed can be locally
selected via TAG scrolling using the two housings push buttons, or
remotely selected writing in the input/channel number.
2-Control Function Block Container to improve the control strategies in
the field whenever the transmitters connected on the bus do not allow it.
With 2 E-PID, 1 AR, 1 IS and 1 CS Function Blocks the 264IB is a
resources container to be used for satisfying different kind of
applications.
3-LAS Backup Capability in order to keep alive the control loop whenever
the primary LAS element (DCS) fails. This feature, implemented on a
dedicate unit like the 264IB, which has not to perform measurement task,
provides enhanced security of the LAS function itself.
